Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster base plate kit with removable arms. But before we do that, why don't we check it out and make sure that it's gonna work for you So before we get too carried away, I figured it'd be useful just to kinda touch base and refresh ourselves on the main parts that we're gonna need to flat tow our Mazda down the road in the first place. Now, usually, what we do is actually be hooked up to the motor home and paint a real good picture. But today, we have some really bad weather, and so we're just kinda trying to make do, so bear with us here. more

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit Installation - 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster front base plate on a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Now, this is what it's gonna look like when it's installed. You can see here there's a spot cut open for where the arms actually can go in, same with the safety chain loop. And the great part it actually comes with a nice bracket that utilizes the factory mounting points under here, and that's gonna allow you to get your breakaway switch and your diode wiring attached. Now it is gonna work with your factory lock guard. It's gonna take a little bit of cutting to obviously make it fit, but if you have the plastic or metal it doesn't matter, you can make it work. more

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit Installation - 2021 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Hello neighbors it's Brad here etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster baseplate on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. So this is what the baseplate's gonna look like installed and actually hooked up in its flat tow set up. So you can see that it's pretty nice and spaced out here, allowing everything to kind of have some space to work around and actually attach our safety chain loops are nice and far enough away, but easy to actually clasp onto. And all of our connections with this included bracket are really nice because it puts it at a nice even spot in the middle using factory hole locations. Now and not in use, you can go ahead, drop this out and then you can actually remove these arms just by pulling this twisting. more

Hello Chevy owners. Today on your 2012 Chevy Silverado we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's base plate. Now, when you fly through your vehicle, there are five main components that you're gonna need when doing so. You'll need your base plate, which is the connection point for your tow bar and your vehicle, you'll need your tow bar, which is the component that connects your vehicle to your motorhome. Your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar, you'll need your diode wiring which takes all the lighting signals from your motorhome and transfers to the lights at the back of your vehicle so people know your intentions when going down the road, and your supplemental breaking system, which will apply the brakes in your vehicle when you hit them in your motorhome to help you come to a safe stop. And this is what our base plate looks like when it's installed. more

Hi there, Jeep owners. Today in your 2007 Jeep Wrangler, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Direct-Connect Base Plate. Most of our components are gonna be hidden behind our bumper and the rock guard that's located here with just our attachments sticking out the front. We do have the arms currently inserted and this is what you'll use to hook to your motor home. These arms are removable. They're secured with a hitch pinning clip just a five inch pin. more

Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style base plate kit here on our 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So there's two different kinds of Roadmaster base plates available for your vehicle here, the Direct-Connect and then the Crossbar-Style, which is what we have here. So the Crossbar-Style is a great option for you if you wanna use Roadmaster's Rock Guardian, which is a vehicle protector, or if you have a tow bar that mounts on the vehicle when you're not using it. For those particular applications, you will have to use the Crossbar-Style. But you can also use the Crossbar-Style with any other tow bar just so long as you have this quick-connect. more

And overall, it's got a pretty good look to it in the fact that the crossbar is actually hidden behind here and it really does look pretty decent on the Jeep as it doesn't protrude past the bumpers, but yet you can still get to all of your attachment points with no problem. Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Adapter to Extended D-ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Tow Bars here on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So here's what our adapter looks like. And what this is gonna do is it's gonna allow you to attach a Roadmaster motorhome mounted tow bar. A motor home mounted tow bar is one that installs into the hitch receiver on the motorhome, and it gets stored there while not in use. A couple example of those motor home mounted tow bars is the Falcon 2, which is what we have here, the BlackHawk, the Sterling, and there's several others. And this is gonna allow us to attach to D-ring bumper mounts welded onto our off-road Jeep bumpers. more

Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars Extended D-Ring Bumper Mounts Adapter Review- Video
Hey guys, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over the adaptor for extended D-ring bumper mounts to Roadmaster tow bars. So here's what our adapter looks like, and what this is gonna do is, it's gonna allow you to attach a Roadmaster Motorhome-Mounted Tow Bar, a motorhome-mounted tow bar is one that installs into the hit receiver on the motorhome and it gets stored there while not in use. A couple example of those motorhome-mounted tow bars is the falcon 2s, which is what we have here. The black Hawk, the Sterling, and there's several others. And this is gonna allow us to attach to D-ring bumper mounts, welded onto our off-road Jeep bumpers. So a lot of Jeep owners like to install aftermarket bumpers on their Jeep, for one reason or another. more

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Blue Ox baseplate on a 2020 Ford F-150. This baseplate system is going be a required component of flat towing a vehicle, and this is where your arms of your tow bar actually connect onto using some pins. Now, this does take away your factory tow hooks, but you do have these safety chain loops that could probably be used as well. Now, when not in use, you can also pull this pin, give it a twist, and you can see where it actually hooks onto. So this fork has this little hole here, and that's what you slide your pin through to attach to your arms. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster direct connect base plate with removable arms on a 2018 Honda HRV. So here we have our base plate installed on our HRV. Now it does hide behind the actual grill, except for the necessity things that you need for towing. And that includes this spot here for your removable arms. So when you're ready to tow, these blob into place pretty easily with a twist. Now, when not in use, you simply pull this out, twist it, and it's nice and clean looking. more

And this is what our base plate looks like when it's installed. You've got your attachment points here on each side, and these will attach to any Curt tow bar and also Blue Ox tow bars. We do also have adapters available here at etrailer, so if went with a Roadmaster or another manufacturer's base plate or tow bar, you can adapt those over, so that way you can get it attached to this base plate. If we go just to the inside of that, we've got our safety chain attachment here. more

Hi there, Jeep owners. Today on your 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Blue Ox's baseplate. And this is what our baseplate looks like when it's installed. The baseplate is going to be behind our fascia here, so it's gonna be mostly hidden with just our attachment points sticking through where the tow hooks used to be. We do have some cutouts here in the front that really aren't a hundred percent necessary. It does depend on the braking system and things that you've decided to install, if you're gonna use these components or not. more

Hey, everybody. How's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit here on our 2018 Ford F-150. So a base plate kit is gonna be one of the many components that we need to successfully flat-tow our F-150. So in addition to the base plates, we're also gonna need a tow bar, a wiring harness, a supplemental braking system, and, depending on what tow bar we choose, safety cables. So, basically, what our base plate does is it provides an attachment point for the towed vehicle for the motorhome via the tow bar. We do need to make sure that we're abiding by compatibility with the tow bar. That's gonna be the main two things that have to work together, the base plates and the tow bar. For the Blue Ox base plate kit here, those are gonna be directly compatible with all of the motorhome-mounted Blue Ox tow bars. However, if you have some other tow bars, such as those from Roadmaster or Demco, there are available adaptor separately that you can purchase in order to make the two compatible. more

Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit, here on a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox. So, there's a few different kinds of Roadmaster base plate kits available for this vehicle, two, in particular. There's the crossbar-style, and then the direct-connect style, which is what we have here. Now, the crossbar-style does still work well, but the direct-connect is gonna be far more seamless. We're not gonna have to worry about that bulky tow bar each and every time we need to hook up or remove our vehicle from the motorhome. It's gonna make things that much more seamless, cut down on the number of parts that we're gonna be dealing with each time. more

Hi there, Fiesta owners. Today in your 2019 Ford Fiesta, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Blue Ox's base plate. And this is what our base plate looks like when it's installed. You've got your attachment points here, where your arms would slide in and out when you're ready to flat tow. You can simply slide in when you're ready, and then your tow bar would attach to this. It'll work with any Blue Ox tow bar, but we do have adapters available here if you've got a different manufacturer's tow bar. more
